Hotels Near the Princess Casino in Belize

The Princess Hotel and Casino is a landmark of Belize City and a draw for tourists in its own right, with restaurants, movie theater, bowling alley and marina offering diving, snorkeling and fishing trips, in addition to the casino and accommodations. For visitors who do not wish to stay overnight at the hotel, but want to be close enough to enjoy its extensive facilities and attractions, several other hotels are close by. They include options that suit a range of budgets and demands.

Renaissance Tower

Renaissance Tower, an all-suite luxury hotel, is located in Belize City, directly opposite the Princess Casino. The Mediterranean-style building is surrounded by landscaped tropical gardens within a gated property. All the suites have two bedrooms and are available in three categories: ground floor "Florence" suites with a patio leading to the gardens; "Siena" suites with a whirlpool tub in the master bedroom; and "Venice" suites, which are located on upper floors and offer a private veranda with ocean views. All have a fully equipped kitchen and open-plan design. Although there is no on-site restaurant, the hotel offers food delivery services, and numerous restaurants and bars are within walking distance. Laundry services and wireless Internet access are also available.

Radisson Fort George Hotel and Marina

The 102-room Radisson Fort George Hotel and Marina is located in the historic Fort George area of Belize City, directly on the Caribbean coast. Four types of guest rooms and junior suites are available, including upgraded club tower rooms with marble floors and sea views. Standard room features include a private balcony, more than 100 cable channels, a mini-refrigerator and complimentary high speed wireless Internet access. Select rooms feature hand-carved furnishings made by local craftsmen, and some offer a high-end adjustable mattress. Dining options on-site consist of St. George's Dining Room, a restaurant specializing in seafood dishes; Baymen's Tavern for cocktails and snacks; and a poolside bar.

Belcove Hotel

The family-owned Belcove Hotel sits right on the waterfront in downtown Belize City. Guests have a choice of deluxe rooms with air conditioning, cable televisions and private bathrooms, or budget rooms with fans and either shared or private bathrooms. The rooms are bright and unfussy in decor. Airport transfers are available for a fee, and the hotel can arrange tours to destinations such as Mountain Pine Ridge to see the Thousand Foot Waterfalls, the Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary and the Tikal archeological site in Guatemala.

Bachelor Inn Hotel

Bachelor Inn Hotel, a three-story building within walking distance of downtown Belize City, offers a choice of 35 budget-friendly guest rooms, one-bedroom suites and two-bedroom suites. Guests enjoy views of the Caribbean Sea from the rooftop. All the rooms have air conditioning, cable televisions and private bathrooms. The suites include kitchen facilities and a spacious living room. Internet access is complimentary, and guests staying for three or more nights enjoy free laundry services and airport transfers.
