Hotels Near New Orleans City Park

New Orleans City Park consists of 1,300 acres of land and serves as a natural habitat, art center and playground. The Museum of Art & Sculpture Garden calls this oak-tree covered property home. New Orleans offers several hotels between the park and downtown New Orleans, less than three miles from the park. Guests can ride the St. Charles Streetcar to the park. The park offers golf, boat rentals, carousel rides and the Storyland fairytale playground.

St. Charles Avenue

Hampton Inn New Orleans -- St. Charles Avenue /Garden District sits in New Orleans' historic Garden District, where the St. Charles Streetcar still transports passengers passed 19th-century homes. New Orleans City Park is less than a half-mile away on the streetcar line. Its meeting room accommodates 30 people and overlooks the Victorian homes on St. Charles. Guest rooms offer DVD/CD players and sofa bed. Best Western St. Charles Inn is less than a mile from City Park in the Garden District. It is only two miles from the restaurants and shops in the French Quarter. The hotel lets guests bring pets for a nonrefundable fee. Several rooms connect to one another.

Convention Center

Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Convention Center is within walking distance to the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention and the French Quarter. Embassy Suites New Orleans -- Convention Center, also two miles from the park, places guests within walking distance of the convention center, the French Quarter and the Louisiana Superdome. Downtown

Residence Inn New Orleans Downtown is situated in the Warehouse/Arts District in downtown, only two miles from City Park. The Warehouse/Arts District, once a commercial center, now features art galleries, museums and fine-dining establishments, including the original Emeril’s Cajun restaurant. The hotel offers grocery shopping service and restaurant delivery. Each suite contains a full kitchen and separate living and sleeping areas. Comfort Inn & Suites Downtown is two miles from the park in the Central Business District, a downtown neighborhood adjacent to the French Quarter featuring the Orpheum -- the home of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. Voodoo Too, the on-site lounge, serves drinks and cocktails. Select rooms have sofa beds.

Pet-Friendly Hotels

InterContinental New Orleans is within walking distance of popular attractions, including the French Quarter, Harrah’s Casino and the Riverwalk. City Park sits only two miles from the hotel property. InterContinental allows two 40-lb. pets per guest room for a one-time deposit. Pet owners sign a pet waiver upon check-in. The 15th-floor fitness center has an outdoor pool. Guest rooms have televisions with video game and Internet access. Drury Inn & Suites is within walking distance to the French Quarter, the Riverwalk and Jackson Square, and only two miles from the park. It accepts pets at no additional charge. Pet owners must sign a pet agreement. The hotel has a rooftop pool and serves a Southern breakfast that includes biscuits and gravy, and popcorn and soda in the evening. Drury Inn has two-room suites with flat-panel LCD televisions.
