Hotels Near Manasquan, New Jersey

by Joe Fletcher

Located in the heart of the New Jersey Shore in southern Monmouth County, Manasquan is a popular beach destination just north of Point Pleasant. More than just a beach town, Manasquan is home to an extensive bike path that connects with Allaire State Park, a shop- and business-lined Main Street and a train station that can open up a journey to northern New Jersey and New York City. As a popular summer destination, Manasquan offers a variety of hotels and motels on the beach and in town.

Manasquan is a town of about 6,000 that is tucked between Sea Girt and Brielle. Though the mile of beach draws heavy visitation during the summer months, lodging options in town are limited. Most of the hotels and motels are located inland near downtown. For beachfront accommodations, you might consider a rental home, or a stay in one of Manasquan's neighbors like Sea Girt, Point Pleasant and Belmar. Make reservations in advance to ensure you'll find a room amidst the summer crowds.

Twin Oaks Motel

The Twin Oaks Motel is located directly on Route 35, putting it just minutes from attractions like the Brook 35 Plaza shops in neighboring Sea Girt and the Point Pleasant boardwalk. The property is conveniently located to downtown Manasquan, Brielle and Sea Girt and is just minutes from the beach via car. On-site you'll find a swimming pool, air-conditioned rooms and broadband Internet.

Inn on Main Hotel

The Inn on Main Hotel is an intimate, Nantucket-style property with appointments like pillow-top mattresses, balconies and fireplaces in its rooms. Its location on Main Street in Manasquan provides walking-distance access to the shops, boutiques and restaurants that line the heart of town. The inn is also near major arteries like routes 34 and 71, which will connect you with other Jersey Shore destinations.

Beacon House

Located in neighboring Sea Girt, just north of Manasquan, the Beacon House is an inn located a block from the beach. The two guesthouses at this Victorian inn offer a relaxing atmosphere with rocking chair-lined porches, ocean-view balconies, a private pool and carefully manicured shrubbery and flowers. The 10-room Main House is open year-round, while the eight-room Summer House is open between April and October. Three cottages are also available for rent in the summer. The individually named rooms at the inn offer such amenities as fireplace, Jacuzzi and private balcony. Breakfast is served with your stay, and the inn gives you free beach badges, along with beach chairs and towels to use.
