Hotels near The Magic Kingdom in Florida

Magic Kingdom, a Walt Disney World Resort theme park, is known for its Cinderella Castle, Mad Tea Party teacup ride and Space Mountain roller coaster. Many hotels within a short walk or drive of the Magic Kingdom are also close to other amusement parks, including Epcot theme park and SeaWorld Orlando. Most resorts near Magic Kingdom cater to families, with planned children’s activities, live entertainment or video arcades. Some hotels near Magic Kingdom also feature amenities for adults, such as spas or nature trails.

Disney’s Polynesian Resort

Located inside Walt Disney World, Disney’s Polynesian Resort features a Tahitian theme and sits on Seven Seas Lagoon, on which guests can go swimming. One of the hotel’s outdoor swimming pools features a volcano-shaped tower with a water slide and waterfalls. On Tuesday through Saturday nights, the hotel hosts luaus with hula and fire dancing. Dining options include a café with noodle dishes, a Polynesian-style restaurant with character dining nights and an American-style restaurant. Some guest rooms and suites have furnished balconies or bathrooms with hot tubs, while others have access to a lounge area with a daily dessert hour and wine and cheese snack.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa

Also found inside park, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa sits on the Seven Seas Lagoon. The hotel rents out yachts and speedboats for those interested in boating. For families with children, the Victorian-style hotel offers a pirate cruise with a treasure hunt. The hotel hosts movie nights on the beach or by the pool. The beachside swimming pool features a water slide. The hotel’s spa has massage treatments for children as young as 4. The tennis center offers private lessons. Every day, the hotel hosts a tea party with characters from “Alice in Wonderland.” The resort provides bathrobes for adult guests and playpens and cribs for children. At the hotel, you can eat at fine-dining restaurants with seafood dishes or a Victorian-style café with soup and sandwich choices.

Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek

The Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek hotel is located across the street from Walt Disney World. For swimmers, the hotel features a lagoon-style swimming area with a water slide and lazy river. Golf enthusiasts can work on their game at a putting green, driving range or an 18-hole golf course. A European spa and beauty salon provide places for guests to unwind or get pampered. The hotel’s dining options include a casual-dining restaurant with breakfast dishes such as huevos rancheros, a café-style restaurant with Danishes, an Italian restaurant with seafood dishes, a steakhouse, and a bistro with grilled cheese sandwiches for kids. Suites feature flat-screen TVs, on which you can play on-demand video games. Some suites have dining room tables with seats for eight people and stocked wet bars.

Waldorf Astoria Orlando

The Waldorf Astoria Orlando is found about 6.9 miles from Walt Disney World. The hotel connects to the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek. Some suites feature kitchens with blenders and toasters. They also have bathrobes and slippers. Dining choices include an upscale steak and seafood restaurant, an American-style restaurant with breakfast items such as Eggs Benedict, or a fine-dining restaurant with fish tacos and barbecue ribs. The hotel provides an 18-hole, professional-level golf course for skilled golfers. The pool has private cabanas and a drink service. The hotel provides goggles or sunscreen lotion on request. The hotel’s children’s program, which is available to guests at the neighboring hotel, offers activities for youngsters that include Wii games, scavenger hunts, group bike rides and movie nights.
