Accessibility

Locate the closest hotels to the convention center for easy accessibility, especially if walking is an issue. The Las Vegas Hilton offers a sky-walk that links the two buildings together. The Residence Inn by Marriot is directly across the street, and the Courtyard by Marriott is steps away from the Las Vegas Convention Center. The Courtyard also has a Las Vegas Monorail station right next to its front door.

Amenities

Choose a luxury hotel near the convention center for its variety of amenities such as spas, shopping, restaurants and deluxe accommodations. Encore is a Forbes five-star award-winning hotel a few blocks from the convention center and offers over 2,000 suites, award-winning celebrity chefs, a spa and salon, hundreds of high-end shops in the Esplanade and several nightclubs. Encore also offers free shuttle service to the Las Vegas Convention Center. Other upscale hotels nearby are the Wynn, the Palazzo and the Venetian.

Value

Book a room in a value hotel if you plan only to sleep and shower at your hotel. The Rodeway Inn is within walking distance, less than a quarter mile from the convention center. Rates were generally under $40 in 2010. The Royal Resort is also within a short walk for under $70 per night in 2010.

Location

Select a hotel in a location where you want to explore attractions and entertainment. Circus Circus is 1.9 miles from the convention center and offers family entertainment in the form of acrobatic acts, daily circus shows, an indoor amusement park called the AdventureDome, and an arcade. Less than three miles away from the convention center is the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas' famous downtown area. The nightly light and sound extravaganza known as the Fremont Street Experience is right outside the Golden Nugget's front door, and this hotel has a outdoor pool with an enclosed slide that travels through a tank populated by live sharks.
