The King’s Theatre in Edinburgh, Scotland, offers a year-round program of drama, but really shines in August each year when it’s an important venue for the Edinburgh International Festival. Set in central Edinburgh, the King’s Theatre is less than one mile to the south of the city’s main thoroughfare, Princes Street. Edinburgh Castle is a 20-minute walk away, close enough to hear the cannon that is fired every day from the ramparts at 1:00.
