Whether you’re planning to attend a Fresno Grizzlies home game or some other event at Chukchansi Park, you’ll find an interesting mix of hotels from which to choose within a radius of 10 miles. The park, located near the heart of downtown Fresno, California, is the home field of the Fresno Grizzlies, a Minor League Baseball team in the Pacific Coast League, but it also hosts a variety of other events -- both indoor and outdoor -- throughout the year.

Four Points by Sheraton Fresno

Only five miles from Chukchansi Park, this two-story, 204-unit hotel is set amid attractive gardens and woodlands, offering a sense of seclusion while still putting guests within easy reach of all that Fresno has to offer. Guests who enjoy shopping will find both the Manchester and Fashion Fair malls only a short distance from the hotel. Smugglers Restaurant and Lounge, located on site, serves breakfast and dinner daily, and is a good place to drop in for a full-course meal or just a beer or cocktail. Two of the nation’s most popular national parks, Yosemite and Sequoia, lie within a two-hour drive of Fresno, making the hotel a good jumping-off spot for an excursion to one or both parks.

Holiday Inn Downtown Fresno Convention Center

This mid-rise, 197-unit hotel and convention center is only a short walk from all the action at Chukchansi Park, and is also convenient to all of downtown Fresno’s shops and entertainment. For the benefit of die-hard baseball fans, the hotel offers a Fresno Grizzlies package that combines overnight accommodations, two field-level tickets to a Grizzlies home game and free breakfast for two at Cafe 1055. Recently refurbished, the hotel’s common areas and guest rooms sport a sleek, contemporary look. The hotel also has all the facilities needed to hold a business conference of almost any size. The on-site Cafe 1055 restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, and offers a family-friendly policy under which kids under 12 eat free. The rooftop Skyroom Lounge is usually reserved for special functions, but provides spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the west, so be sure to sneak a peek.

Radisson Hotel & Conference Center Fresno

Built around a huge indoor atrium featuring gardens and a waterfall, this center-city hotel lies less than a mile from Chukchansi Park. Of particular note are the hotel’s huge indoor/outdoor pool and the lounge/bar on the ground floor of the atrium, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy a cool drink and sweeping views of the hotel’s interior spaces. Diners looking for a full-service restaurant find what they want at the on-site International Cafe, while fast-food fanciers may opt instead for a pizza from the Pizza Hut kiosk on the premises.

San Joaquin Hotel

Converted from an apartment complex into a chic boutique hotel, the San Joaquin enjoys a prime location in Fresno’s fashionable Fig Garden District, within easy walking distance to some of the city’s most upscale shops, restaurants and nightlife. Only eight miles from Chukchansi Park, the 69-unit, all-suites hotel nestles amid lushly landscaped gardens and features a free-form outdoor swimming pool. All suites are individually decorated, but are uniformly bright and contemporary in appearance. The San Joaquin has no restaurant of its own, but has made arrangements with a nearby eatery to provide hotel guests with room service from that restaurant’s menu. In addition to all the standard amenities, the hotel’s suites provide kitchen facilities of varying size, all featuring granite counter tops.
