Hotels Near Fort Monmouth, New Jersey

Fort Monmouth, not far from the popular New Jersey ocean resort towns of Highlands, Sea Bright and Monmouth Beach, is home to operations of the U.S. Army’s Communications Electronic Command, or CECOM. Visitors to the area, including defense contractors, will find several hotels within a five-mile radius of the installation. Of the area hotels, a handful receives consistently high marks from widely read travel guides.

Doubletree Tinton Falls

Just off exit 105 of the Garden State Parkway, this five-story, 179-unit hotel is three and a half miles from Fort Monmouth and close to several resort towns on the Atlantic Ocean. All rooms and suites feature compact refrigerators and high-speed wireless Internet. Business travelers who need to work on proposals or other projects can do so in the Doubletree’s well-equipped business center, while guests who want to stay fit can take advantage of the 24-hour fitness center and seasonal outdoor swimming pool. The on-site Aqua Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and nearby restaurants include Applebee’s, Bogart’s Bistro & Bar, Kwong Fat and Maurizio Pizzeria.

La Quinta Inn West Long Branch

This two-story, 100-unit hotel, a short drive from Fort Monmouth, offers budget-minded travelers plenty of extras for a reasonable rate, and people traveling with pets can keep their animals in their rooms at no additional fee. All guest rooms and suites feature microwaves, compact refrigerators and wireless Internet, and the hotel also has an indoor swimming pool and fitness center. While there is no on-site restaurant, a complimentary breakfast is provided. Nearby restaurants include Olive Garden, Ruby Tuesday, Tavolo Cuisine and TGI Friday’s.

Residence Inn Tinton Falls

Less than a half-mile from exit 105 of the Garden State Parkway, this two-story, all-suites hotel is a good choice for family groups and travelers planning an extended stay. All of the hotel’s 96 studio and penthouse suites feature a full kitchen, fireplace in the sitting area and wireless Internet. Recreational facilities include a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, and a fitness center. The hotel serves a complimentary hot breakfast buffet each morning and a light dinner Monday through Wednesday, but has no on-site restaurant. Nearby eateries include Applebee’s, Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse, Redhead’s and All Seasons Diner.

Sheraton Eatontown Hotel

For hotel accommodations that provide both “style and comfort,” Forbes Travel Guide recommends this six-story, 208-unit hotel in Eatontown, a short drive from Fort Monmouth. High-speed Internet is available in all guest rooms and suites, and recreational facilities include a heated indoor/outdoor swimming pool and 24-hour fitness center. Sheraton Club guests enjoy extra amenities, including access to the hotel’s Club Lounge, which provides a complimentary continental breakfast each morning and hors d’oeuvres and beverages in the evening. On-site dining options include the Concord Cafe and JR’s Restaurant & Lounge.
