Hotels near the Dulles Airport in Washington, DC

by Meg Jernigan

The distinctive Eero Saarinen-designed terminal at Dulles International Airport is open 24 hours a day, serving more than 20 million travelers a year. Hotels in the area, dominated by the major chains, are mid-priced and above. It’s unwise to choose a Dulles hotel if you’re in Washington for sightseeing. The airport is 25 miles from downtown, and public transportation involves multiple bus and train changes.
