As celebrations of the Civil War’s 150th anniversary continue until 2015, the National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, is seeing an increase in visitors who want to learn more about the "War Between the States." The National Civil War Museum web site proclaims, “Nowhere can you find a better understanding of the Civil War, its effect on the nation, or on the people.” The museum is home to artifacts, manuscripts, documents, photographs and other printed matter. Because of the museum's location in the heart of Harrisburg, visitors have many choices for places to stay nearby.
