Hotels Near Allston, Massachusetts

The neighborhood of Allston is located just three miles from Boston's city center, and while the area is mainly residential with the exception of one hotel, a few options are available within a two-mile radius of the neighborhood's borders. From these hotels, it's easy to get into Allston by foot, bus or the subway (called "the T" by locals).

Doubletree Guest Suites Boston

The Doubletree Guest Suites Boston is the only hotel located in the Allston zip code. It overlooks the Charles River and is within two miles of Boston University, Harvard University and downtown Boston. All accommodations are suites with separate living rooms and bedrooms. The hotel has a fitness facility and an indoor swimming pool. Scullers Jazz Club is on the second floor of the hotel, along with the fine-dining establishment, The Green Room. A sports bar, Terrace Lounge, is in the open-air atrium, also on the second floor.

Days Inn Harvard Fenway

The Days Inn Harvard Fenway is a half-mile from Allston's center, in Brighton, which is just across the river from Harvard Square. The hotel offers budget accommodations with two double beds or one king-sized bed. Guests can take advantage of the hotel's fitness center and business center, as well as complimentary parking. Joyful Garden restaurant is attached to the hotel and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Charles Hotel

Located in Harvard Square, just under 1 1/2 miles from Allston, the Charles Hotel is a luxury establishment with 298 guest rooms. "Travel + Leisure" magazine describes the hotel's aesthetic as "low key" with quilts on the beds and Shaker-style furniture. The hotel houses two restaurants: Rialto, which serves hearty Italian fare, and Henrietta's Table, famous for its Sunday brunch. Guests are given complimentary access to the attached Wellbridge gym. Also connected to the hotel is Le Pli spa, which offers hair, skin and nail treatments as well as massages.

Courtyard Boston Cambridge

Less than a mile from Allston, the contemporary guest rooms of Courtyard Boston Cambridge 203 feature large floor-to-ceiling windows, many overlooking the Charles River. Guests are given access to a fitness center with cardiovascular equipment and free weights. The hotel's restaurant, Guest Room, is open for breakfast, while Bisuteki Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar serves lunch and dinner. Library Lounge offers cocktails and spirits in a space filled with books.
