Hotel Galvez & Spa, a Wyndham Grand Hotel, has operated since 1911. The hotel features massive towers, a mahogany ceiling and stenciled artwork. The cream-colored interior contains cottage-style furnishing and picture windows. The Spa at the Hotel Galvez has rooms where visitors relax before and after spa treatments; a couple’s massage room and a meditation garden. Motel 6 Galveston is approximately three miles from the Port of Galveston and Moody Gardens, and 10 miles from the beach. The hotel has an outdoor pool and laundry facilities. Motel 6 charges a daily fee for wireless Internet access, but children and pets stay for free.
