Hotels Closest to Atlanta Motor Speedway

The Atlanta Motor Speedway is located approximately 25 miles south of Atlanta and hosts an annual NASCAR Sprint Cup night race during Labor Day weekend. In addition, the track is used for driving and racing schools, drag races and a summer Thursday Night Thunder series that showcases grassroots racing cars. Luckily for racers and their fans, a number of hotels in the area cater to visitors to the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Book early as rooms fill quickly during large race events such as the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

Western Inn & Suite Hampton

If being as close as possible to the track is important to you, then the Western Inn & Suites Hampton is your hotel, as it is located right across the street from the Atlanta Motor Speedway. In 2010, the hotel was in the process of renovating all of its rooms. The small, economical hotel has 40 rooms and suites. Microwaves and refrigerators are in each room, and the Western Inn & Suites offers free Internet. This hotel was formerly known as the Country Hearth Inn Hampton.

Super 8 Motel McDonough

The Super 8 Motel McDonough is located only four miles from the Atlanta Motor Speedway. This hotel provides a free continental breakfast and free high-speed Internet access to its guests. This 20-room Super 8 has a parking lot that accommodates large vehicles such as trucks, buses or race trailers. Guests find restaurants and shopping within walking distance of the Super 8, and all of the rooms feature microfridges.

Ramada Limited Locust Grove

The Ramada Limited Locust Grove is located approximately 10 miles from the Atlanta Motor Speedway. It has a large parking lot that accommodates trailers, buses and trucks. A continental breakfast and high-speed Internet are complimentary. Several dining establishments are within a block of the hotel, including a cafe that is adjacent to the Ramada Inn, and the Tanger Outlet Mall is across the street. The rooms at the Ramada also have microwaves and refrigerators.

Double Cabins Plantation Bed and Breakfast

If you prefer bed-and-breakfasts, check out the Double Cabins Plantation Bed and Breakfast in Griffin, approximately 10 miles from Atlanta Motor Speedway. This quaint, antique-filled inn is on the National Register of Historic Places and welcomes guests with a hot Southern breakfast. The Double Cabins Plantation is a restored 1842 cotton plantation. Guests tour an on-site museum and two slave quarters.
