Providence, Rhode Island, is one of the oldest cities in the United States, featuring historic structures dating back to the 1600s. Hotels in downtown Providence offer spectacular views of the Providence River and are close to area attractions such as Roger Williams Park and the Capitol District. Located less than 10 miles from downtown, Warwick has hotels near the airport, shopping centers and 39 miles of coastline.

Historic Hotels

The Providence Biltmore in downtown features 18 stories of red brick towering above the Providence skyline. Opened in 1922, this hotel is a member of the Historic Hotels of America, and its original sign still sits on the roof. The interior features antique furniture, chandeliers and a rooftop grand ballroom. Its Red Door by Elizabeth Arden is Providence’s only full-service spa, providing massages, nail services and makeup assistance. Select suites have 42-inch flat-screen plasma television, living rooms with sofa beds, whirlpool tubs and kitchenettes. The Renaissance Providence Downtown Hotel is located in the Capitol District, next to the Rhode Island State House and the Providence Place Mall. Built in 1929, it originally operated as a Masonic Temple and boasts neoclassical architecture. The hotel offers babysitting services, concierge and 24-hour room service. Guest rooms have satellite television with video games.

Downtown

The Hotel Providence is a AAA Four Diamond hotel in the Arts and Entertainment District, walking distance from theaters, shops and art galleries. The hotel features artwork and classic novels in public areas and guest rooms. On-site amenities include a concierge desk, room service and a restaurant. Guest rooms have safes, satellite television with video games and bathrooms with separate showers and tubs. Best Western Providence-Seekonk Inn is less than 10 miles from area attractions, including downtown, the Roger Williams Zoo and the Rhode Island Convention Center. Hotel amenities include a heated indoor pool and hot tub, truck/RV parking and mail service. Guest rooms have refrigerators and microwaves.

Airport Hotels

The Hampton Inn & Suites Providence/Warwick-Airport hotel is less than a mile from Theodore Francis Green State Airport, only seven miles from the Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence. It offers free shuttle service to the airport, baggage storage, a snack shop and car rental services. The hotel provides suites with kitchenettes, sofa beds and blackout curtains. Radisson Hotel Providence Airport is next to the TFG State Airport, providing free 24-hour airport shuttle. Hotel amenities include 24-hour room service, free parking and same-day laundry services. Libations Restaurant and Lounge, its on-site restaurant, served meals from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Select suites have French doors separating living areas, sofa beds and whirlpool tubs.

Pet Friendly Hotels

The Westin Providence is in downtown Providence, connected to the Rhode Island Convention Center and the Providence Place Mall. The hotel accepts dogs up to 75 pounds at no additional charge; however, pet owners have to pay for any damages. Upon registration, pet owners must sign a waiver. The hotel also refers guests to local childcare services. Pet owners can request dog beds for their animals. Westin charges a daily fee for Internet access. Motel 6 Providence is in Warwick, two miles from the airport and approximately six miles from downtown Providence. Pets stay free at the hotel; however, all animals must be registered. The hotel offers an outdoor pool and truck parking. Kids also stay free at Motel 6, and guests pay a daily fee for wireless Internet access.
