Hotels Close to the Boston Airport

by Joy Uyeno

Boston Logan International Airport is outside of the city's center, but a few hotels within close proximity of the airport are convenient for travelers who are on long connections or those who are stranded because of weather or other airline issues. Each year, more than 25 million people pass through Boston Logan International Airport, and the nearby hotels accommodate many of those who need a comfortable place to stay before or after a flight.

Hilton Boston Logan Airport

The Hilton at Logan is conveniently located right on the airport's premises, which makes for easy transfers. Guests can also take advantage of the hotel's shuttle, which drops travelers off at the various airport terminals. The hotel features a fitness center, pool, hot tub, sauna, and seasonal outdoor patio. Frommers describes the guest rooms as "large and tastefully furnished," with sleek, contemporary furniture. Three restaurants are on the hotel's premises. Berkshires is a casual fine dining restaurant that is open for breakfast. Cafe Presto is located in the hotel's lobby, offering a quick bite or coffee for travelers on the go. For lunch or dinner, guests can dine at the hotel's pub, Connolly's Publik House, which broadcasts local sports games on its eight television sets.

Embassy Suites Boston Logan Airport

The Embassy Suites near Logan offers complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport terminals and the subway's airport stop on the Blue Line. All of the accommodations are two-room suites, with bedrooms set apart from the living and work space, which contains a desk, small refrigerator, and microwave. The hotel features an indoor pool and a fitness room. Guests can take advantage of a complimentary continental breakfast each morning and snacks at the evening "Manager's Reception." The Porter Bar and Grill is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, serving casual American fare.

Courtyard by Marriott Boston Logan Airport

Hampton Inn Boston-Logan Airport

The Hampton Inn offers guests free airport transportation, as well as "local area transportation," which means that guests can request shuttle service to car rental services, subway stations, and nearby restaurants through the front desk. The hotel houses 227 rooms that feature plush mattresses to promote circulation and reduce nighttime restlessness. Hampton Inn Boston-Logan serves a hot breakfast each morning, gives guests access to free wireless Internet and features an on-site workout facility and pool.
