Hotels at Baylor Medical in Houston, Texas

Baylor College of Medicine is a private medical college with about 3,000 students in 2010, according to the Baylor College of Medicine website. Many hotels near the college sit within a 30-minute drive of the city’s major parks, museums, art galleries, theaters and sports facilities. Some hotels within five minutes of the medical school have suites with fully equipped kitchens or amenities such as on-demand movies or video games. Area hotels also feature on-site cafes and restaurants, swimming pools, shuttle services and gift shops with basic-necessity items.

Houston Marriott at the Texas Medical Center

The Houston Marriott at the Texas Medical Center hotel is located about three blocks from the Baylor College of Medicine and a short drive from the Houston Museum of Natural Science, a facility with a planetarium and a butterfly house. A lobby lounge contains multicolored furniture, rugs and artwork that add to the modern decor. An outdoor swimming pool sits in a tropical-like space with umbrella tables, and the outdoor sports court is designed for basketball, volleyball or tennis.
