Tiger Stadium, nicknamed “Death Valley,” has been the home of Louisiana State University football since 1924. More than 92,000 fans pile into the stadium to cheer for the Tigers. Several hotels are located within five miles of this sports venue. The LSU campus even has a hotel owned and operated by the alumni association that features scenic campus lake views. All hotel sit near restaurants that provide fine dining and local cuisine.

Campus Hotels

The Cook Hotel & Conference Center at LSU overlooks University and Dalrymple lakes and sits next to the Lod Cook Alumni Center. In honor of the university, the hotel features purple and gold throughout the interior, and pictures of Mike the Tiger decorate the walls. LSU lakes have jogging paths, and guests get access to the LSU Recreation Center. Hotel amenities include an outdoor pool and hot tub. Extended-stay suites contain fully equipped kitchens, flat-screen televisions and two telephones. Staybridge Suites Baton Rouge-University at Southgate is within walking distance of Tiger Stadium.
