Taking a vacation in Myrtle Beach means the opportunity to stroll along a 60-mile stretch of white-sand beach. If your family includes pets, choose a pet-friendly hotel, and bring them along to run through the sand with you. Myrtle Beach animal laws allow leashed dogs access to some stretches of beach, but from May 15 until September 15, dogs cannot be on any beach between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Two affordable motels in Myrtle Beach allow guests to bring pets. At Red Roof Inn Myrtle Beach Market Commons, you can bring one pet weighing up to 30 pounds for no additional fee, and children under the age of 17 also stay free. This motel sits just two blocks from the beach and has an outdoor pool. The Vancouver Motel allows pets of any size, but charges $15 per day. This motel has an outdoor pool and is situated across the street from the beach. Oceanfront rooms at Vancouver have full kitchens.
The Ocean Park Resort offers an oceanfront location, while allowing pets up to 20 pounds for an additional $15 per pet per night. Larger pets may be allowed with approval from the general manager. This oceanfront hotel offers rooms, suites, bungalows, condos and houses for its guests. In addition to its 10 pools, it has the largest resort water park in Myrtle Beach. The AAA three-diamond Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort also allows pets, with a 75-pound limit and a $75 fee per stay. This hotel sits directly on the beach and offers rooms with private balconies overlooking the ocean.
