Universal Studios Hollywood began welcoming guests in 1915. Today a tram tour forms the heart of the guest experience, while a theme park section with stand-alone attractions takes guests further inside the movies. Two hotels are located within walking distance of Universal Studios Hollywood, while others provide a free shuttle to the park.

Sheraton Universal

The Sheraton Universal is just one-tenth of a mile from Universal Studios Hollywood. Although the walk is easy, the hotel also operates a complimentary tram to the park. The Sheraton’s design scheme highlights the Golden Age of film, and many guest rooms offer sweeping views of Universal. Amenities include wireless Internet access, a heated swimming pool and whirlpool, a business center and a concierge desk. The Hilton Universal City is adjacent to the entrance of Universal Studios Hollywood. The hotel operates a shuttle to CityWalk, Universal’s evening dining and shopping destination. Guest rooms feature premium bedding, 27-inch televisions, mini-bars and work desks. Suites offer separate sitting areas. The Hilton offers a casual restaurant, lounge and coffee shop.

Holiday Inn Express Universal Studios

The Holiday Inn Express Universal Studios is in North Hollywood, one mile from Universal and blocks from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle to Universal. The historic property was formerly the privately owned Beverly Garden Hotel. Amenities include two regulation tennis courts, swimming pool, fitness center and business center. Free wireless Internet access is provided throughout the hotel. Guest rooms feature work desks with extra power outlets, premium cable television and bathtubs. KidSuites with themed children’s sleeping areas are available at an additional charge. The on-site restaurant serves three meals per day, and room service is available.
