Tropical Trail Rides
Californians Craig and Michelle Barker own and operate Tropical Trail Rides (tropicaltrailrides.com), located on the northwestern coast in Isabella. The tour company is open seven days a week and offers customers two 2-hour rides daily. The morning ride begins at 9 a.m. and the sunset ride begins at 4 p.m. All tours start on the beach. A short break is taken during which customers can climb the cliff to see the panoramic views, explore nearby caves or go for a swim. Customers are then taken through Almond Tree Forest for some terrain riding. All rides begin with a brief orientation.
Rancho Bueno Vista
Rancho Bueno Vista (ranchobuenavistapr.com) is located inside Hacienda Candelero at the Palmas del Mar Resort on the southeastern side of the island in Humacaco, 45 minutes from San Juan. All tours take customers through the resort environment and nearby beaches. While Rancho Bueno Vista caters to all levels of horseback riding experience, all riders are given a "crash course" on horseback riding. The regular ride is an hour long and covers 4 miles of land and trails. More experienced riders can choose to take the advanced trail ride that covers 6 miles in 2 hours at a faster pace. The VIP "Cabalgata" ride covers 10 miles in 4 hours and includes snacks and drinks.

Kerry Soto is part-owner of Horseback Riding Puerto Rico (horsebackridingpr.com), located in Manati close to the Hacienda La Esperanza nature reserve. Beach and valley tours are offered ranging from 1 to 3 hours and custom rides are also available.
