Sandy beaches, a tropical climate and a large resort industry make Florida a favored destination for travelers. Honeymoon hotels offer private beaches, romantic restaurants, in-room massage treatments and luxury accommodations. Hotels also provide couples in search of entertainment outside the room a range of add-on activities tailored to their interests.

The Shores Resort & Spa

The honeymoon package at the AAA Four-Diamond Shores Resort & Spa includes champagne and strawberries, breakfast each morning, couples massage and a credit for use at the resort’s upscale restaurant. One-night stays in oceanfront beach cabanas feature a five-course meal served by your personal waiter. Standard guest rooms have private terraces or balconies with views of the ocean or the Intracoastal Waterway. A tiki bar on the pool deck serves drinks and light fare, and guests sit in Adirondack chairs around a nightly beach fire. Daytona Beach attractions are nearby.

LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort

LaPlaya, located in Naples, offers two honeymoon accommodations. Large lanai rooms have private terraces on the beach and four-poster beds with butterfly netting and pillow top mattresses. Private balconies provide views of the Gulf of Mexico in luxury suites. A build your own vacation package allows honeymooners to select a room and choose from an a la carte menu of extras. LaPlaya’s Spa Terre signature services include Javanese spa treatments and a volcanic earth spa ritual.

Ocean Key Resort & Spa

Ocean Key overlooks Sunset Pier, site of a nightly celebration of sunset that includes crafts, street food and performers. The resort’s Ocean View Boutique Suite, decorated in bright Caribbean colors, has floor to ceiling windows and a balcony overlooking the pier. In-room couples massages include an assortment of treatments like hot stone and herbal therapy. Hot Tin Roof, Ocean Key’s restaurant, has a cold seafood bar featuring fresh shrimp and oysters. The poolside Liquid Lounge serves specialty drinks like the Liquid Jelly Monkey Love cocktail.

Little Palm Island Resort & Spa

Little Palm Island Resort & Spa, reachable only by boat or seaplane, offers a six-night honeymoon package. A town car meets couples at the airport and takes them to a private beachfront bungalow suite. Champagne and all meals are included, as well as snorkeling, fishing and a sunset sail. Guests receive a credit for the resort’s spa, where treatments include deep tissue massage and customized facials. Dining options include a seat at the Chef’s Table in the restaurant kitchen or a meal prepared just for you on the beach.
