The Tower Trail is located in Sleeping Giant State Park in Connecticut. Hiking the entirety of Tower Trail is not exactly an easy task, but if you're used to hiking up hills and through forest paths, then you will be able to make it all the way across and up Tower Trail. Once you reach the top of the hills, you'll be able to enjoy pristine views of the areas below, as well as stone cliffs featured in Sleeping Giant State Park and a tower, which is known as the centerpiece of the park.

Step 1

Download the hiking map for Sleeping Giant State Park, which includes Tower Trail. The map can be downloaded from the "Sleeping Giant State Park" page of the State of Connecticut website (ct.gov) and in the resource section below.

Step 2

Travel to Hamden, Connecticut. This is where Sleeping Giant State Park and Tower Trail are located. You will find the entrance to the park across from Quinnipiac College. The entrance can also be seen on the hiking map you downloaded.

Step 3

Pay a small parking fee in Sleeping Giant State park if you plan to hike Tower Trail on a weekend or as part of your holiday celebration.

Step 4

Find the trail. The beginning of Tower Trail is located near the main entrance of Sleeping Giant State Park. Again, consult the hiking map you downloaded.

Step 5

Stay well hydrated as you hike. There are several large hills, and Tower Trail stretches across the park. If you're planning to hike the whole trail, you should also plan to bring food.
