High-Speed Internet in Moreno Valley, California

    Multiple companies offer high-speed Internet service in Moreno Valley, California, with the technology they utilize ranging from fiber optics to cable to satellite. Some of the companies have special introductory offers for new customers, as well as free extras like computer security software.

    Wild Blue

    Wild Blue offers satellite-based high-speed Internet service, usually in rural areas that have mainly dial-up service. Customers who order the service receive a 26-inch mini-dish and computer modem. As of June 2011, the monthly fee is $49.95 for the provider's Moreno Valley value package, which consists of download speeds of up to 512 kilobits per second (Kbps) and uploads of 128 Kbps, as well as free antivirus/anti-spyware software for the first year of service.

    AT&T

    AT&T offers four high-speed Internet packages in Moreno Valley. The basic package, which in June 2011 is $14.95 per month, is the slowest, with download speeds of about 768 kilobits per second. The express package allows downloads at about 1.5 megabits per second and the pro package at 3 Mpbs. Both packages are $14.95 a month in Moreno Valley for a year, but then rise to $33 and $38, respectively. AT&T also offers an "elite Internet package," which costs $19.95 a month for the first year before rising to $43 a month. Its download speeds can reach 6 Mbps.

    Comcast

    Comcast offers high-speed Internet service in Morena Valley at an introductory rate of $19.99 per month for six months as of June 2011. The package includes download speeds of up to 12 megabits per second, which can be increased with a free upgrade for existing customers called "PowerBoost." Also included is a free suite of antivirus and other security software.

    Verizon

    As of June 2011, Verizon has a special offer in Moreno Valley which includes high-speed Internet for $19.99 a month for a year, with a two-year contract required. With the package comes download speeds of up to 1 Mbps and upload speeds of 384 Kbps. There is also a faster package, which includes upload speeds of up to 768 Kbps and downloads of 7.1 Mbps. The cost is $39.99 a month with a two-year contract.
