Come the Fourth of July, celebrations abound throughout the United States. No matter where you are in the country, you nearly always can find a festival or fireworks display close by. By early July, the temperatures and humidity in central Florida soar and most people seek shelter in their air conditioning. For the Fourth of July, however, Tampa residents do not let the heat get them down or temper their patriotic spirit. Residents and visitors to the Tampa Bay area can find a number of Fourth of July events to participate in that appeal to all age groups and include all the Independence Day classics like fireworks, picnics and parades.

For most cities, Independence Day, or the 4th of July, means street festivals, parades, concerts and, of course, a large fireworks display. In the Port Charlotte area of Florida, most of the events celebrating America's Independence are located across Charlotte Harbor in the city of Punta Gorda.
Gwinnett County is a suburban county, located about 30 miles northeast of Atlanta, Georgia. With a county seat of Lawrenceville, it also includes 14 additional municipalities, although the majority of Gwinnett County residents actually live in the county's unincorporated areas. Various Gwinnett municipalities hold annual activities either on or directly ahead of July 4, although the actual Gwinnett Glows event, previously held by the county government on July 4, no longer occurs.
The place to go for fireworks in York, Nebraska is the Firecracker Frenzy. This Fourth of July event draws people from the York area to the York County Fairgrounds. In addition to the fireworks, you will find entertainment, food and local products for sale. The event is so popular, the Firecracker Frenzy takes place on July 5th if the Fourth of July is rained out.
The Fourth of July Parade in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, is part of Sheboygan County's Independence Day celebration, which lasts for one weekend. Once planned by the area's tourism division, it is now organized by the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber has kept the parade and other weekend events the same as in previous years.
The state of Mississippi, located in America's south, sees Independence Day as an opportunity to celebrate another year in the United States. Festivities and parades take place throughout the region, including in Mississippi's southwest. Cities there frequently make use of parks and local rivers as a backdrop for fireworks and more.
