Forte Hotels Philosophy

The Rocco Forte Collection operates with a philosophy dictated by Sir Forte himself. In a personally written manifesto, he describes himself as the consummate traveler. He has a firsthand understanding of how important exceptional customer service is to the experience of each guest. As a result, the mission of his hotels is to ensure the best possible customer experience “from the moment you make your reservation to the time of your departure.” Sir Forte accomplishes this goal by focusing their energies on a small number of hotels. This allows him and his senior management team to be personally involved in their respective operations.

The Balmoral

The Balmoral is situated in the heart of Edinburgh’s central shopping district. Its location adjacent to Waverly railway station allows for easy access by travelers from all points of England. Consisting of 168 guestrooms and 20 suites, each room is outfitted with marble bathrooms, duel line telephones, a broadband Internet connection and satellite television service. Guests enjoy scenic views of local attractions including Edinburgh Castle and the Sir Walter Scott Monument. Dinner options include the Michelin-starred Number One and the less formal Hadrian’s Brasserie, while two on-site bars offer cocktails and live music. The Balmoral Spa is home to a pool, sauna and exercise room. In addition, 10 conference rooms accommodate up to 450 guests.

The Lowry Hotel

The Lowry Hotel is located on the banks of the River Irwell, walking distance to Manchester’s main shopping quarter. Each of the 165 guestrooms and six suites has floor-to-ceiling windows, walk-in closets, fax machines and marble bathrooms. The Charles Forte Presidential Suite boasts a dining room, kitchen, library and grand piano, and measures more than 1,500 square feet. The River Bar and Restaurant serves globally influenced British dishes in a dining room that overlooks the River Irwel. During warmer months, meals can be taken on The Terrace. The Urban Day Spa offers a variety of holistic beauty treatments. Furthermore, events with up to 450 guests can be held in the Ballroom.

Brown’s Hotel

Located in London’s tony Mayfair neighborhood, Brown’s Hotel is equally close to the West End theatres and the shopping on exclusive Bond Street. The establishment’s 119 guest rooms and 29 suites are decorated in a contemporary style, using woods and other natural materials, juxtaposed with antique furnishings. Guests enjoy flat-screen televisions, with an interactive on-demand interface featuring an extensive collection of film and music. Traditional British food prepared by chefs Mark Hix and Lee Streeton can be enjoyed in The Albemarle, while afternoon tea is taken in The English Tea Room. The Donovan Bar boasts a vast collection of wines and champagne. The hotel is home to three spa treatment rooms and a gym. In addition, six private dining rooms accommodate receptions of up to 120 people.
