When it comes to family vacations, Florida has it all. As if the attractions in the Sunshine State were not enough, Florida resorts provide their guests with amenities to help make their stay more enjoyable. Many resorts include programs or clubs that cater to children and youth, or are centered on their interests.

Nickelodeon Family Suites

A resort made with kids and youth in mind, the Nickelodeon Family Suites in Orlando provides children and parents with their own special amenities and spaces, such as a Nickelodeon-themed, semi-private bedroom for the kids and a less cartoonish room for the parents. On site are Nickelodeon-themed activities, a food court, arcade, water park, miniature golf course and poolside entertainment. The Nickelodeon Family Suites offers shuttle service to and from popular Orlando theme parks such as all the Walt Disney World parks, Sea World and Universal Studios.

Disney's All-Star Music Resort

One of the Disney resorts with the most affordable rates, the Disney's All-Star Music Resort brings together your family’s favorite Disney characters, songs and the amenities that come with staying at such an establishment. Located at Disney's Animal Kingdom, all the rooms at this resort are suites that can fit up to six individuals and have up to two full bathrooms. The Disney's All-Star Music Resort allows children under the age of three to enter any of the Walt Disney World theme parks free of charge, children and youth under the age of 17 can stay in their parent’s room free of charge and guests of the resort have complimentary use of the Disney buses, water launches and monorail system. Additional amenities at the Disney's All-Star Music Resort include a kiddy pool, arcades, laundry facilities and onsite food courts.

Club Med Sandpiper Bay

Located 78 miles north of Fort Lauderdale in Port Saint Lucie, the all-inclusive Club Med Sandpiper Bay resort has classic rooms to Club Room suites, and views of the Saint Lucie River. This resort features an 18-hole golf course, 19 tennis courts, private boat rentals, and excursions to Florida attractions such as river cruises, Lion Country Safari and wave runner outings. Supervised activities for children at Sandpiper Bay include a circus school for kids of all ages, Baby Club Med for infants, Petit Club Med for toddlers, Mini Club Med for children ages four to ten and Junior’s Club Med for teens. Club Med designed the clubs for children and teens so parents can enjoy time together, away from the kids, without having any worries.

Cheeca Lodge & Spa

Situated on the Florida Keys, the Cheeca Lodge & Spa is a 27-acre, oceanfront resort. Accommodations range from king suites to a beach bungalow that include a private beach, saltwater lagoon with native fish, water sports activities, shade cabanas, rain-shower showerheads and soaking tubs. Activities for children and youth the Cheeca Lodge & Spa’s Camp Cheeca are for those ages five and up. Included at Camp Cheeca are daily fishing excursions, swimming and snorkeling in the lagoon, sand sculptures and scavenger hunts.
