Dog-Friendly Hotels in Ithaca, New York

Ithaca sits on the southern shores of Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes Region of Central New York. It is best known as the home of Cornell University and Ithaca College. Buttermilk Falls State Park features 10 cascading waterfalls that eventually end up in Cayuga Lake. The state park allows leashed dogs with proof of inoculations in all areas, with the exception of swimming areas. Adjacent to the park, Comfort Inn allows two pets per room for a one-time fee. The hotel is also less than five miles from downtown. Guests get 24-hour coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Guest rooms have whirlpool tubs. Hampton Inn Ithaca is less than a half a mile from the state park and only six blocks from the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport. The hotel allows dogs up to 60 lbs. at no additional cost. Pet owners must sign a hotel agreement upon check-in. The property has an indoor pool. Select rooms have whirlpool tubs.

Bed and Breakfast

Log Country Inn sits on the edge of Danby State Forest -- a 7,337-acre forest, located on the Allegheny Plateau, containing 350-million-year-old sedimentary bedrock. The forest produces firewood and saw-timber and offers hunting, skiing and hiking. Log Cabin Inn accepts dogs of all sizes free of charge. Puppies must be crated when left alone in suites. The guest house has a living room with a fireplace and piano. Log cabins feature beamed, cathedral ceilings. Select rooms have hot tubs, full kitchens, living rooms and multiple rooms.
