If you want to bring Rover on vacation with you, then there are usually hotels around that will let you keep him in the room with you for a nominal fee. In Las Vegas, few of the better-known hotels on the Strip will allow pets. However, a handful of places on the outskirts of town will welcome you and your dog.

The Four Seasons

The Four Seasons is a pet-friendly chain of luxury hotels, and the company’s Las Vegas Boulevard location is no exception. The Four Seasons allows a pet into the room as long as it is less than 25 lbs. There is no additional fee, but the animal must not be left in the room unattended at any time. The concierge will provide pet sitters if needed. The Four Seasons Las Vegas is next door to the Mandalay Bay on the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip. It offers a residential style of accommodations in a non-gaming atmosphere. The Mandalay Casino is easily accessible from the Four Seasons.

La Quinta

The La Quinta Inn and Suites is a national chain motel that welcomes guests with dogs. This hotel is a bit off the beaten path at the northwest edge of the city, but highway access into town is pretty simple and is ideal for those who have a rental car or have driven into town. The hotel's pet policy allows for dogs or cats less than 50 lbs. in a guest’s room. La Quinta doesn't impose a surcharge for pets, but the staff asks that the owner be present or the pet must be in a crate when housekeeping arrives to do their work.

Howard Johnson

Far on the north end of Las Vegas Boulevard, the Howard Johnson Inn is still technically a Vegas Strip hotel. In addition, it is among the very few that will allow your dog into your room. The pet policy allows for dogs in guest rooms, but they charge an additional $30 per pet, per night of the stay. The Howard Johnson Inn in Las Vegas has its own slot machines and video poker, a pool, a wedding chapel and is adjacent to a Cuban restaurant called the Florida Café. The guest rooms offer standard amenities including basic cable, coffee makers, hair dryers, microwaves, refrigerators and an in-room safe.

Comfort Inn Las Vegas

A mile from the Las Vegas Strip on Paradise Road, the Comfort Inn is an economical hotel that will allow you to bring your dog into your room. The hotel’s policy allows for dogs up to 15 lbs. A cleaning fee of $25 per night, per pet applies. The Comfort Inn is less than a mile from McCarran International Airport. The hotel does not offer gaming, but it is directly across the street from the Hard Rock Casino, one of the popular gaming facilities off the Strip. The Comfort Inn is also within walking distance of the UNLV campus. The hotel offers wireless Internet access, continental breakfast, a weight room and a pool.
