Disney World Resorts With Heated Pools

by Robin Raven

Walt Disney World has 24 hotels available near and within its theme parks. Offerings range from deluxe to budget accommodations. The perks of staying in one of these hotels are numerous, including extended park hours, complimentary transportation to and from the airport, shuttle buses to all Disney theme parks, meal plans, and discounts on admission tickets. Many Disney hotels also offer a variety of heated pools for guests to enjoy year-round.

Disney's Polynesian Resort

Disney's Polynesian Resort offers two elaborate, heated pools. The Nanea Volcano Pool, one of the heated pools, has a waterfall, waterslide and 40-foot high volcano. Better yet, people of all abilities can enjoy it. A water wheelchair is available upon request for enjoying the pool. Beyond the heated pools, Disney's Polynesian Resort houses amenities not offered by any other resort at Disney. There are three white sand beaches, a marina with water crafts for rent and a jogging jail that goes around the Seven Seas Lagoon. Parents can enjoy treats at the resort's Barefoot Pool Bar, while children will enjoy the on-site Mickey Mouse's Arcade at the Never Never Land Kids' Club.

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a luxury, tropical resort with a distinctive Caribbean theme. It lies on the large Barefoot Bay. The resort has six heated pools throughout its island villages. Its Old Port Royale serves as a small water park in and of itself. The water complex's theme is that of Fuentes del Morro Fort, an old, Spanish fortress. It offers two large spas, a slide and a children's play area as well. Beyond its deluxe pool areas, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort has playgrounds on the beach for families to enjoy. It has volleyball courts and watercraft rentals from Old Port Royale. A variety of restaurants are available on-site, and pizza delivery room service is offered in each guestroom.

Disney's Pop Century Resort

Disney's Pop Century Resort is a Disney value hotel, one of the cheaper ways of staying in Disney World. As its name suggests, this hotel is themed with pop culture throughout the later decades of the 20th Century, the 1950s through the 1990s. The hotel is divided into themed sections. Each section represents a different decade of pop culture. This discount Disney hotel offers three heated pools for its guests, and each pool reflects one of the decades. The computer pool, which sits by the 1990s section, is heated and shaped like a computer monitor. The 1950s bowling pool was designed in the shape of a bowling pin, and the deck of this heated pool acts as a bowling lane. The main pool, however, is the Hippy Dippy Pool. It is 1960s-themed, yet is near the main lobby. Four flower-themed showers spray water into the heated pool.

Disney's Coronado Springs Resort

Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is one of the moderate Disney resorts. It's picturesque with a southwestern, Spanish-Colonial Mexican theme. The resort encircles the 22-acre lake, Lago Dorado, and it allows guests to choose between three different themed lodging areas. There is a heated pool for each section. The Casitas has a fun, urban terra-cotta theme. The Cabanas lodging area provides a beachfront theme and even has cozy hammocks by its heated pool. The Ranchos-themed section is more rustic and draws to mind Southwestern pueblos. If the three heated pools are not enough, the resort also as a huge hot tub, which seats 22 people and is the largest one in any Disney resort.
