Des Moines, Iowa, Area Hotels

Located in central Iowa, Des Moines is the state capital and home to tourist attractions such as Living History Farms and the Science Center of Iowa. Accommodations are situated in the downtown area of the city near the capitol, where tours are available throughout the week, and also in West Des Moines near Jordan Creek Town Center, where a movie theater, restaurants and a shopping mall are located.

Near State Capitol

Embassy Suites Des Moines in the East Village is less than a mile from the capitol and the Des Moines Botanical Center. The suite-style accommodations contain kitchenettes, Internet access and sofa beds. An indoor swimming pool, fitness center and laundry services add to the amenities. If visiting over the Fourth of July, you can see the fireworks over Principal Park baseball field from the hotel.
