Pre-Made SandwichesStep 1
Lay out the bread you want to use to make your sandwiches. Try a variety including crescents, deli rolls, flat breads, French baguettes and pre-sliced sandwich loaves to offer party-goers variety. Cut rolls in half and open them flat; arrange sliced breads in pairs.
Spread a sauce of choice on the interior sides of both pieces of bread for each sandwich. Mayonnaise, mustard, relish, horseradish sauce, hummus, sun-dried tomato spread, pesto, fruit chutneys and pimento cheese make simple flavor boosters for sandwiches.
Layer hot or cold meats on the bread. For example, place pulled pork on deli rolls or chicken salad on crescent rolls. Top the meat with a cheese like Swiss, cheddar, muenster or mozzarella. Close the sandwiches.
Cut the sandwiches into easy-to-handle portions. Slice crescents and deli rolls in half and pre-sliced bread sandwiches into triangular quarters.
Cover the platter with lettuce leaves: iceberg, red-tipped, butter and romaine work well.
Stack the sandwiches on the platter so party goers can see the food inside the bread. Arrange the sandwiches in a pyramid for impressive presentation.
Arrange an accompanying platter of vegetables such as tomato, red onion and cucumber slices, more lettuce leaves, pickle slices, roasted red pepper pieces, coleslaw and piles of alfalfa or other sprouts so guests can dress their sandwiches as they choose.

Cover the platter with lettuce and stack tomato and red onion slices in the center.
Roll sliced ham and roast beef into tubes. Carve turkey and chicken into sandwich-size pieces. Slice at least two different cheeses such as Swiss, Colby and cheddar.
Arrange the rolled meats in the 12- and 6-o'clock positions and the cheeses in the 3- and 9-o'clock positions. Fill in the excess space with the carved meats.
Fill a basket with deli rolls sliced in half.
Arrange a platter with small bowls of mayonnaise, mustard and other condiments. Provide a small knife or spoon for each one.
