The Crazy Maze Game

by Clayton Yuetter

The crazy maze game is a free online game that offers several different styles of play for both individuals and two players. There are three types of crazy maze games: survival, defense and two player. A player can record his score at the end of every game and compare it to the high scores of others.

Survival Mode

One option of play for the crazy maze online game is "survival." The object of the challenge is to avoid the walls and platforms that float down. Your game piece is a red ball that you move side-to-side to avoid coming in contact with obstructions by either using a mouse or with the keyboard arrows. There are bonus balls that award you special advantages if you touch them, such as the ability to become invincible for a certain amount of time or to shrink to better fit through wall openings.

Defense Mode

The second option is the "defense" game. Unlike the survival game, you must come in contact with every object that floats down. Your game piece is a small red ball, and the oncoming objects are green balls of various shapes. You reach a new level after you score 20,000 points. Like in the survival game, your game piece cannot come in contact with the side walls.

Two Player

The "Two Player" gaming option is just like the survival game, except you play against a friend. The person who lasts the longest without coming in contact with any obstacles wins. Player one is represented by a red ball and uses the keys "W," "A," "S" and "D" to move her piece, while the second player is shown as a blue ball and uses the arrow keys on the keyboard to move her man.

Benefits and Disadvantages of Online Games

Free online games are a useful way to take a break from work and relax for a little while. Playing online games also helps in building cognitive skills. Many types of games challenge certain aspects of the mind, such as decision making, problem solving and memory skills. The danger of free online gaming, however, is when it becomes addictive or prevents the player from being productive in his work life.
