Children's Party Venues in Orange Co, California

by Nicole Brown, Demand Media

Orange County is located between Los Angeles and San Diego along the coast of Southern California. While it is often well-known for its glitz, glamour and celebrities, Orange County is a very family-friendly area of California. If you are planning a children's party in one of the dozens of cities located in Orange County, you will surely find the venue to suit your child's wishes.

    Indoor Fun

Hullabaloo's Partyhouse (71499party.com) is an indoor fun center with a playhouse, inflatable slides, obstacle courses, karaoke and a special area designated for toddlers. When you book a party at Hullabaloo's you get 90 minutes of play in the playground and one hour in the gift and food room. Hullabaloo's will provide pizza and drinks so all parents have to provide is the cake. Add face painting or a pinata to any package for an additional charge. Seascape Kids Fun (seascapekidsfun.com) is suitable for kids ages 2 to 14. Seascape has a three-story indoor arena with slides, a foam shooting range and ball pits. Parents can book a private or semi-private party that is virtually all-inclusive. With decorations, invitations, food and drinks included, all parents have to provide are the guests.

    Party While Learning

Incorporate learning into the party atmosphere with these two locations. The Santa Ana Zoo (santaanazoo.org) is set on 20 acres and is famously known to always keep "at least" 50 monkeys on its grounds at all times. In addition guests will find anteaters, a farm animal exhibit, tropical birds, jaguars and birds. Bring your party to the zoo under one of the park's covered picnic areas; the zoo doesn't offer a structured party plan but they do provide printable scavenger hunts and other zoo-themed games to make your party interactive. The La Habra Children's Museum (lahabracity.com) is home to an indoor wild animal taxidermy exhibit, art room, model trains, a carousel room and many more hands-on activities for preschool through school age children. Parents can plan a party for up to 25 guests, which includes admission to the museum, access to a private party room, invitations and balloons. Parents provide the food and cake and the museum takes care of the cleanup.

    Take To The Water

For kids who love the water, make a splash by planning a water-themed party. Atlantis Aquatics (swimatlantis.com) is an indoor pool with a pirate ship, water slide and rock slide. Guests can swim year-round because the pool is heated to 90 degrees. Parents can choose a traditional pool party, luau party or a pirate or princess party for their little swimmers. Wild Rivers (wildrivers.com) in Irvine is an outdoor water park for kids of all ages. Wild Rivers features the Typhoon Lagoon for kids under 54 inches and wave pool and twisting and turning water slides for older kids. With a minimum of eight guests, parents can book a party at Wild Rivers that includes park admission, a party in the Wild Rivers Party Barn, food and unlimited drinks.

    Rides And Games

Adventure City (adventurecity.com) in Anaheim is a family-friendly theme park featuring carnival rides, a wooden roller coaster, petting zoo, arcade and rock climbing wall, creating a diverse environment for fun. Birthday parties at Adventure City offer just as many diverse activities. Kids receive admission the park, an unlimited ride pass, access to the petting zoo and a craft area and a puppet show. Parents will also appreciate that Adventure City provides the decorations, food and setup and cleanup. Boomers (boomersparks.com) also offers a diverse selection of entertainment in one location. Choose from laser tag, rides, batting cages, bumper boats, miniature golf and arcade. When parents book a party at Boomers guests will receive access to the park's attractions and arcade tickets. With access to a party room, finish off the celebration with food and drinks provided by Boomers.

    Everything Else

If one of the venues already listed doesn't fit your child's style, here are a couple of more that might pique her interest. Color Me Mine (lakeforest.colormemine.com) is perfect for your artistic and creative kid. Color Me Mine is a do-it-yourself art studio where visitors can paint their own ceramics. A party at Color Me Mine includes a piece of bisque (ceramic) for each guest to paint as well as supplies and guidance from a Color Me Mine staff member. Beat the Orange County heat with a visit to the Ice Palace (avicepalace.com), an indoor ice-skating rink in Aliso Viejo. Kids will enjoy time on the ice and a party in a private room complete with decorations, cake and refreshments. An Ice Palace employee will help parents assist with their party including ice-skating tips and coordinating kids in the party room.
