If you're looking for that perfect location for your child's next birthday party in Jackson, MS, you won't have to look far. There are many options in the Jackson area that will entertain your child and his party guests. Whether your child likes crafting, swimming, animals or just wants a place to run, slide and jump, there is something to please every child.

    Pump It Up

Pump It Up (pumpitupparty.com) is an indoor, inflatable playground. Located on Old Fannin Road, it serves Jackson and the surrounding communities. There are three party packages to choose from. Each package includes playtime in the arena, party time in a private room, paper products and invitations. Pizza, drinks, goody bags and other party favors can be added for additional fees.

    The Jackson Zoo

If your child is wild about animals, have his next birthday party at the Jackson Zoo (jacksonzoo.org). Located in the heart of Jackson on West Capitol Street, the zoo offers two packages. "Monkey Madness" includes all-day zoo admission for 12 children, a party captain, paper products, cupcakes and ice cream, drinks, a train and carousel ride, animal tattos, 15 minutes at the Discovery Zoo and an educational animal encounter. The "Giraffe Gathering" package is similar but also includes a choice of a hot dog, hamburger or corn dog and chips per child.

    Michael's

Michael's (michaels.com) is an arts and crafts store that sponsors crafting events and offers several different craft parties. You choose the type of craft project you wish for the party, such as beading, creating Dr. Seuss characters or building a bear, or the staff can create a project based on your child's interests. Michael's provides invitations and thank-you cards, goody bag tags, project supplies, a courtesy apron for each guest, a keepsake apron for the birthday child, setup and cleanup. You bring the food, goody bag items and decorations. Parties should be booked at least two weeks in advance. There must be one adult present during the party for every five children.

    YMCA

The Downtown YMCA on East River Place (metroymcams.org) offers pool parties for up to 25 children. Party times range from late afternoon to early evening on Fridays, morning to afternoons on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. With limited party times available, reservations should be made early to secure your first choice of day and time. Parties include 90 minutes of swim time, a T-shirt for the guest of honor, use of a party room and a party coordinator. You must provide the cake, paper products and any other party items.
