Chicago's Midway Airport is located in the southwest end of the city, near the suburb of Bedford Park. As one of Chicago's international airports, Midway is surrounded by hotels. Accessible by the orange "El" line, Midway Airport is a moderate train ride from downtown Chicago and the Loop. Area hotels gravitate towards well-known brand names, so guests won't be in for a deluxe boutique kind of hotel experience. Still, Midway area hotels offer comfortable and affordable sleeping arrangements within close reach of metropolitan Chicago.

Chicago Marriott Midway

The Chicago Marriott Midway offers three different room levels, along with several suites. Ranging from conventional to a king bed with whirlpool suite, each room includes cable television and complimentary coffee and tea service. Since the Marriott is a mid-price better hotel chain, you'll find that high-speed wireless Internet, parking and in-room bottled water carry a fee. However, the hotel does furnish a free shuttle to Midway Airport. Food choices include the hotel's Dempsey's Restaurant and Lounge, TGI Friday's and Starbucks. Room service is also on standby for most of the day and night.

Carlton Inn Midway

The Carlton Inn is within walking distance to the orange "El" line, and there's also free parking. In addition, the Carlton Inn Midway offers lots of freebies: high-speed Internet, continental breakfast, airport shuttle and local point to point drop-off service are all included in your stay. The decor is outdated and plain, with single, queen and king rooms available. The hotel furnishes an on-site fitness center and allows pets for a nominal daily fee, as well. Suitable for budget singles, couples or business travelers, the Carlton Inn Midway is good choice for those who need an easy commute and aren't in the market for luxury.

Hampton Inn Chicago - Midway

Located in the Chicago suburb of Bedford Park, the Hampton Inn Chicago Midway has 170 smoking and non-smoking guest rooms. This budget hotel location offers no suites, but families can make do by using the available sofa bed rooms with study area. Food is solidly American in nature, with two bar and grill dining options on or near the site. As far as amusements are concerned, the Hampton Inn is more focused on providing a good night's sleep than entertainment. However, guests may use the fitness studio, surf the Web on the hotel's high-speed Internet service, or watch an in-room movie.

Sleep Inn Midway Airport

The Sleep Inn is another Bedford Park hotel situated near the University of Chicago and McCormick Place convention centers. You'll need to get the free shuttle to the CTA Orange Line, and the hotel shares restaurants with its neighbor, the Hampton Inn. The hotel offers a light array of amenities for guests including business center access and a fitness room, and also allows guests long-term parking if flying out of the airport. Sports fans will like Dempsey's sports bar next door, or can drive to one of four nearby sports venues including Soldier Field and Toyota Park.
