The city of Warner Robins in the central part of Georgia is the home of the Robins Air Force Base and the Museum of Aviation. The second largest Air Force museum in the country, the museum includes the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame and the Robert L. Scott Vistascope theater. Additional attractions in the city include the Warner Robins Little Theater, as well as the Landings Golf, Pine Oaks and International City golf clubs. No campgrounds are in Warner Robins or just outside its city limits. Four campgrounds, however, are within 30 minutes of the city.

Fair Harbor RV Park

The Fair Harbor RV Park (fairharborrvpark.com), situated 27 minutes to the southwest of Warner Robins in the town of Perry, is a quarter of a mile from Interstate 75. The park has full-hookup RV sites that are available on everything from a nightly to monthly basis. Highlights at the 100-acre park include walking, biking and nature trails, and a stocked fishing pond. Campground facilities include restrooms, showers, a 24-hour laundry room, a store, a clubhouse and a picnic pavilion. The shopping and dining district of downtown Perry is 1 1/2 miles away.

Twin Oaks RV Park

The Twin Oaks RV Park (twinoaksrvpark.com) in Perry offers full-hookup RV sites available on a nightly, weekly and monthly basis. Each site has a concrete pad and a picnic table. It also has primitive sites where guests can pitch tents. Located off an exit of I-75, the campground has a heated swimming pool, a hot tub with a private deck and gazebo, and a clubhouse with a kitchen, a grill on its patio and a meeting room for groups. For comfort and convenience, laundry facilities and two bathhouses with showers are on the grounds. Additional recreation features include horseshoe pits, an area for walking dogs and a volleyball court.

Lake Tobesofkee Recreation Area

The Lake Tobesofkee Recreation Area (co.bibb.ga.us), less than 30 minutes to the north of Warner Robins, features 35 miles of beaches and two campgrounds in the Arrowhead and Claystone Parks. Both campgrounds have sites for tents and RVs that are either along the lake or offer a view of it. The sites come with electric and water hookups. At the campgrounds are dump stations for RV sanitation needs, restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, charcoal grills and picnic tables. Features at the recreation area includes large beaches with playgrounds for children, picnic pavilions, boat launches and boat docks. The lake encompasses nearly 1,800 acres and is popular for fishing and boating.

Hillside Bluegrass RV Park

Approximately 30 minutes south of Warner Robins, the 89-acre Hillside Bluegrass RV Park (hillsidebluegrassrvpark.com) holds a Bluegrass Festival twice a year on its grounds. Held in May and September, the festivals draw performers from around the country. The campground in the park has both full-hookup sites, as well as sites with water and electric only. Nightly, weekly and monthly rates are available at a campground that also has cabins for rent. Bathrooms, showers, a dump station and a laundry room are provided for comfort and convenience. Other highlights include an amphitheater, a fishing pond, picnic pavilions, a clubhouse with a kitchen, a sports field, nature trails, a playground, horseshoe pits and a basketball court. Ice and firewood can be purchased on the property.
