Birthday Party Places in Atlanta

When planning a birthday party, choosing the right location can make or break the event. Those looking to throw a birthday party in the Atlanta area have several options. Whether it's a birthday party for children, teenagers or adults, the Atlanta area has venues that are appropriate for any age group.

Children's Parties

The Publix Birthday Pavilion at Zoo Atlanta ( is available to rent for parties for children aged 3 and older. Besides the basic birthday package, you can also choose from several entertainment options. In 2009, Zoo Atlanta was named best birthday party spot by MomsLikeMe. You'll need to purchase a membership to host a children's party at the Center for Puppetry Arts ( First opened in 1978, the center houses a museum, performance theater and workshops that are all centered around puppetry arts.

Teenagers' Parties

Atlanta has places that are suited for birthday parties for teenagers. At FunTime Bowl (, birthday parties include 90 minutes of unlimited bowling. Use of a private party room is also included in the bowling alley's party package. On Friday and Saturday nights, FunTime Bowl offers cosmic bowling, which includes music, dancing lights and glow-in-the-dark lanes and bowling balls. For birthday parties at Andretti Indoor Karting and Games ( in Roswell, a northern suburb of Atlanta, guests have access to a video game arcade, go carts race track, bowling alley, rock-climbing wall and ropes obstacle course.

Adult Parties

You can rent a private room to host a birthday party at Funny Farm Comedy Club ( in Roswell. The comedy club has a roster of house comedians that are available for hire to perform at your birthday party. Tongue & Groove nightclub ( has two levels and three separate spaces available to rent. The smaller space, holding up to 150 people, may be more suitable for birthday parties. It features a large dance floor, full-service bar and a DJ booth.

Birthdays in the Park

Atlanta is home to public parks where you can host birthday parties. Chastain Park ( has a 4-way grill pavilion that can accommodate up to 50 guests. The park also has three picnic shelters that require no reservations. Chastain Park has a children's playground area, tennis courts, golf course, sports fields and a horse park. At Grant Park (, there are two pavilions and one gazebo, all with grills, that can be reserved for birthday parties. Two picnic shelters are available that don't require reservations. Grant Park has a children's playground and a public pool.
