A Bat Mitzvah, meaning "daughter of the Commandment," is a coming-of-age ceremony for Jewish girls where they reach spiritual maturity. Reform Jewish girls celebrate at their 13th birthday, while Conservative and Orthodox Jewish girls celebrate when they are 12 years old.
