Interstate 35 runs north and south throughout Texas, including a one-hour stretch between Austin and San Antonio. Several hotels are located just off Interstate 35 in Austin, many of which are close to some of the city's most visited I-35 area attractions, including the Texas State Capitol, the Sixth Street Entertainment District and the University of Texas main campus. Austin visitors have a wide selection of I-35 accommodations to choose from spanning all budgets and interests.

Luxury

Located just off Interstate 35 on Lady Bird Lake in Austin, the Four Seasons offers a luxury getaway for vacationers, weekenders and other travelers. Guests of the Four Seasons have access to a full-service spa featuring "daycations" that include 50-minute spa treatments and lunch at TRIO, the hotel's sophisticated restaurant and wine bar. The Four Seasons' pool is always heated to precisely 82 degrees Fahrenheit for comfortably multi-season swimming. Other recreation includes nearby golf, tennis, biking and sailing.

Historic

The Driskill Hotel is a historic Austin hotel that has maintained much of its original splendor since being built in the mid-1880s. The hotel has played host to numerous politicians, including Texas governors and multiple visits by President Lyndon Johnson. The Driskill is located just five blocks south of the Capitol and less than a half mile off of I-35. Upon arrival, hotel patrons notice intricate architecture, soaring glass-topped ceilings and dark wood accents throughout the entryway and common areas of the property. Rooms echo these decor elements and add comfort with soft robes and premium linens. Two hotel restaurants offer daily meals, and special discounts are afforded to employees of both the federal and state governments.

Business

Located just steps from Interstate 35, the Sheraton Austin is a chic business hotel within close proximity of the city's business district. For guest convenience, a business center is open 24 hours a day, offering copy, print and fax service, as well as high-speed Internet access. Hotel staff can help with currency exchange services, and secretarial service is available on request. The Landmark Restaurant inside The Sheraton features a sophisticated setting for meeting with co-workers or potential clients, and meeting spaces of more than 9,600 square feet can accommodate both big and small conferences and meetings.

Family

Whether just passing through or staying for a while, families traveling in Austin are likely to find the Holiday Inn Austin Town Lake a comfortable place to stay. A playground is walking distance from the hotel, and an outdoor swimming pool provides fun in the sun during warmer months of the year. Inside, the Holiday Inn offers in-room video games and movie rentals for family nights in, and the hotel restaurant allows kids to eat free when dining with a paying adult.
