Many travelers visiting the Atlanta metropolitan area want the best value for their money when selecting accommodations, particularly if they are operating on a budget. Fortunately, the city is replete with numerous hotels that serve complimentary continental breakfasts as part of the room rate, which can reduce overall meal costs. In addition, most of these properties are part of big name national chains that offer a sense of comfort and familiarity as well as access to Atlanta-area attractions.

Wingate by Wyndham Atlanta/Buckhead

The Wingate by Wyndham Atlanta/Buckhead hotel is situated near numerous points of interest, including Centennial Olympic Park, the CNN Center and the Lenox Square Mall. Guests can enjoy a full-service lobby bar, state-of-the-art fitness center, outdoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi and valet laundry service. An airport shuttle is available for a small charge, although limousine service is complimentary within a three-mile radius. Executive travelers also have access to a business center open 24/7, wireless Internet connection, copy and fax services and several different meeting spaces. In addition to the breakfast bar with omelet station and waffle maker, a manager's reception with light snacks and beverages is held in the evenings. Lunch and dinner spots such as the Buchkead Diner and Horseradish Grill are also nearby. Each of the 101 oversized guest rooms features a two-line speaker-phone with voice mail capabilities, HBO, On-Demand movies, Nintendo games and a free USA Today newspaper. Eighteen suites are available as well.

Hyatt Place Atlanta/Downtown

The Hyatt Place Atlanta/Downtown is nestled in the heart of the city just nine miles from the Hartsfield Jackson International Airport and a stone's throw from local attractions such as the Georgia World Congress Center and Georgia Aquarium. The 100 percent smoke-free property offers gated parking for a daily charge as well as Wi-Fi access in all public and private areas, self-service check-in and check-out kiosks, and an "e-room" with computers and printers. A hotel shuttle provides free local transportation, and the on-site fitness facility, featuring Life Fitness® cardio equipment, is open 24 hours a day. The free breakfast buffet includes smoked bacon and cinnamon French toast, and other hotel meal options range from a bakery cafe with grab-n-go sandwiches to a small bistro with all-day entrees to a series of Robert Mondavi wines created especially for Hyatt. Spacious guest rooms each feature plush signature king or double beds, mini-fridges, corner sofa sleepers and 42-inch flat-panel HDTVs.

Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Atlanta Downtown South at Turner Field

The Country Inn & Suites By Carlson is located directly across the street from Turner Field and within earshot of other attractions such as the World of Coca-Cola and High Museum of Art. The first thing guests see when they enter the hotel is a warm, inviting lobby lounge with a wood-burning fireplace. A seasonal outdoor pool features a sundeck with lounge chairs and umbrella-covered tables. Other property amenities include truck and bus parking; a guest laundry facility; and a fitness center with treadmills, stair-climbers and stationary bikes. Business travelers can also make use of theater-style meeting space with 50-person capacity and audiovisual equipment rental. A free deluxe continental breakfast is served in the mornings with both hot and cold items, and the Bullpen Grill next door is open for lunch and dinner. Guests can choose between standard rooms, studios and one-bedroom suites, the latter of which feature comfortable living areas and kitchenettes.
