Destin calls itself the “World’s Luckiest Fishing Village” because of the fishermen who’ve visited its Emerald Coast for centuries. This Florida city provides accommodations for visitors who come to fish the Gulf of Mexico and area inlets. Accommodations in Destin include chain hotels, resorts and rental properties that overlook the emerald waters that crash against the quartz sand. The city also attracts tourists who want to enjoy golf, tennis, skiing or quiet walks along the shore.
